Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. StacksAtlas is sold as a perpetual license for the version you purchase. There are no monthly subscriptions, no "per-endpoint" fees, and no mandatory maintenance contracts. You own the software.

Never. StacksAtlas is a strict on-premise appliance. All discovery data, device maps, and statistics are stored locally on your machine in a high-performance database. The only external communication is a one-time check during activation to validate your license key.

Ghost devices are network nodes that intermittently disconnect (port flapping) or vanish, causing phantom issues in AV and IT systems. StacksAtlas tracks the "Last Seen" and "Stability Score" of every IP, flagging devices that are unstable so you can replace a bad cable or switch port before it causes a failure.

StacksAtlas runs as a standard Windows Service on any Windows 10/11 or Server 2019+ machine. It comes with a professional MSI installer that handles everything. The web interface is accessible from any browser on your network.
